Yeah, our vet was awesome. The surgery is unfortunate, but it did save our cat's life. They told us he wouldn't have lived without it. We couldn't leave our cat alone for the night, so we had to take him to the emergency vet every night and then back to the regular vet in the morning. Lucky you get to skip this!
Hopefully they'll open up his stomach, find something, and sew him back up good as new!
