Ok, even though I know I'm only 15, I have a four year old sister whom I practically raise, so I remember EVERYTHING about when she was a baby. I obviously can't help you with the labor part (but my mom says that you can't feel a thing once they give you the epidural. There's just lots of pressure.) For the most part, my sister just slept for a very long time. She woke up about five or six times a day for feedings and changing. Sometimes we kept her up for a while which threw off her sleep cycle. Lana, you will appreciate not having your husband around the whole time (no offense to him!)!!! He'll appreciate not being around you, as well (no offense to you!). You'll want the house to stay quiet so that the baby can sleep, while he'll want to watch TV real loud and mess around with the plates for snacks. Plus, you'll be able to catch up on the sleep you lost during the labor without having to make him lunch, a big dinner, etc.
So please don't worry, Lana! You'll be a wonderful mom, I can tell since you're always there for us. Just think about this: We raise our children similarly to the way that our parents raised us. So if you think you're a good person, think about how your child will be a great person as well!
