Hello my IBS peeps!! Think I owe you an update!!
June 22 will be my 1 year zipperversary. (the brain surgery I had leaves a "zipper" scar on the back of my head ) I saw the surgeon this week and he is very happy with my recovery, as am I. I don't need to see him again unless things take a turn, which I'm praying they never do! I still have issues with my right arm - brachial neuritis - (basically the nerves in my right arm / shoulder / neck were damaged coincidentally at the time I had surgery) I have another year to go in that recovery, but the surgeon is confident I will recover most of the use and strength again So, I have a cleaner bill of health! Not perfect, but getting better, one day at a time.
Our biggest news is that hubby and I are proudly owned by a Weimaraner puppy named Sophie! She is 14 weeks old now and an absolute joy (or absolute terror - depends on the day!) We were in love with her from the day she was born as we watched her grow through the breeder's pictures on her website and facebook. She's a challenge for me with the bad arm (and broken ribs from a car accident in March ) and I still tire easily, but she also loves to snuggle in our laps. If anyone knows a Weim, they know Weims think themselves lap dogs. And females average 60 lbs. Sophie is not a lap dog! But she sure tries, and she's only about 20 lbs right now. Here's a link to my FB photos of her:

(and no, I don't know how to make a tiny url!)
Thanks to everyone for all of your support this last year with my surgery and all the times before. I love being able to come here and see familiar "faces" still lurking.
Hope everyone is having a good tummy day
