First of all I am in no way associated with metabolic maintenance. Here is my story, for the last 3 years I have been waking up in the mornings with IBS PAIN, I'm talking on fire pain! Early on I discovered that align helped me. One night, I accidentally took a double dose of align, the next morning my pain was significantly reduced. I started looking for more potent Bifidobacterium Infantis, the ingredient in align. I also did much research on this subject and it is proven that Infantis helps some IBS pain sufferers. I happen to stumble across Metabolic Maintenance, their PROBIOTIC IB is 10 billion strong with infantis per capsule. Align only has 2 billion per capsule. I've been using them for several days now. I ordered them 2nd day, because they ship in a cold pack, and made sure they were sent on a Monday, so they didn't sit on the UPS dock over the weekend. I take 2 during the day and 3 at bedtime. I am waking up almost pain free now. During my research, I also ran across NARCOTIC BOWEL SYNDROME. NBS is caused from opiate withdrawal. After 2 required surgeries and many Lortab prescriptions, I still did not obtain the desired results. I am now tapering off of Lortabs and asking my Dr. for 100mg Clonidine 2x daily, to help with the withdrawal. It's pretty crazy that what may be causing the pain is the pain medication itself! I never abused these drugs, I took them as prescribed, but in my research I discovered, you don't have to abuse them to have a physical addiction to them.
