I take 2 immodium if I have to leave my house for a long period of time and I am good all day with no symptoms. If I know I will be at home I usually don't take anything but sometimes I will take 1 a day for a few day to keep issues away. My doctor told me to take 2 a day for 4-5 days and then give myself 2 days without taking anything. I still just take the 2 when having to leave home.
