We've been to a variety of restaurants at Disney World over the years with my daughter, who was allergic to milk, eggs, peanuts, beef, tomatoes, and celery. All of the sit-down restaurants were very helpful, even when she was so young that we didn't even have to pay for her meals!

Make sure that you have your "special needs" listed when you make the reservations. Make your list as specific as possible. You can call the restaurant a few days in advance and talk with a chef. When you check in for your meal, tell the waiter or host that you have a special diet and request to talk with a chef. Some of the buffets may be good options, depending on how specific your requirements are. A chef can walk you through the buffet, point out what is suitable for your diet, and offer to make special foods as well.

AllEarsNet has some good articles on special dining at Disney at http://allears.net/din/dining.htm . They also have past menus and prices (expect sticker shock!) for both sit-down and over-the-counter (fast food) restaurants.

On our last trip, we had a great anniversary dinner at Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge, a nice casual dinner at Kona Cafe at the Polynesian, and a slightly exotic dinner at Restaurant Marrakesh in Moracco in Epcot.
