OK Sheila...I'll have that bacon cheeseburger ready when you get there. Actually....I ate a hamburger yesterday for lunch and one for dinner....I'm paying for it a bit this morning. And I'm heading back up to the cabin in an hour or so....will have another hamburger today for lunch and dinner. Ugh! I know...I should have done something "safe" for me....but it was just easier not to fix something different and just have the same thing for all of us.  I'll pay for it for the next few days....but, that's the way it goes  .
There's something I need to get off my chest....I hope you all don't mind....but this BBQ was my husband's idea. He told me last Sunday that we should do this BBQ this weekend. So, even though I didn't want to do it on such short notice, I went along with it to keep him happy. He did help me shop for most of the groceries, he did buy the hamburger and make all the patties and cook the burgers on the grill. What is upsetting me, though is that yesterday when we were getting ready to go up to the cabin, I was the one loading all the coolers, food, supplies, etc. into my vehicle, while he was getting things ready to take with him that he needs for working on our mountain property. I felt like saying "this was YOUR idea and you aren't even helping load the supplies!", but I kept my mouth shut. Then once we got to the mountain, we got to the location of the BBQ and he left me there to unload my vehicle while he took his "work supplies" to the location he is working at. By the time he got back to where I was, I had already unloaded most of the supplies from my vehicle and got everything set up for the BBQ. When he got back, he just set up a few fold up chairs, and helped with the two coolers that were too heavy for me to lift....then sat down and waited for people to show up. I kind of felt like this was his idea, but alot of it was dumped on me. Ya know? He did help with things, but there was alot more that I could have used help with. Plus I had to come to town to our house last night to take care of things here that need taken care of on a daily basis....then go back up this morning, while he stayed up there last night and didn't have to come to town. He is working up there, but still...I feel like there's a lot more on my shoulders, than his. So I'm a little pissy about it, but oh well....I can't say much about it or it will just cause him to be in a bad mood.
