First Day Today

My smoke detector had me awake at 4am - the battery died. My tum had me awake ever since... I'm dressed - black skirt, white, black and grey Empire waist satin top ("all the fashion" right now), black suit jacket. Haven't found shoes yet.  (I live in Burkenstock sandals year round usually - but I don't own a black pair to match my outfit) I'm not doing my hair up, just brushing it. I've even put on eye make-up so I don't look half asleep. I'm drinking tea, trying to relax. 20 minutes til I have to leave...
My DH called at 7:45 to wish me luck and told me to call him on my lunch with an update. My bag is packed - tea, cup, honey, lunch, my own mouse for the computer (I use a thumb roller due to shoulder problems), my fountain pen I got from my old job.
All that is left to do is brush my hair and my teeth!
Wish me luck! - Oh, and no D this morning!!! For the first time in many, many, many months on a work day!! Just butterflies!
