I'm sure I've probably said this before, but I had problems coming off the pill after 9.5 years of taking it. I did not ovulate for about three months, and then when I did start to ovulate, I would spot for about a week before my period. In addition, I started to have anxiety attacks, which I had never experienced in my life. (I'm actually not sure if "anxiety attack" is the right term, but my body would feel physically anxious--tense, shallow breathing, etc.--even if I was not worried about a thing.)

I don't blame the pill for my problems. I just think it masked whatever hormonal problems I did have going on while I was taking it.
