WARNING: don't take Avelox!       12/03/03 11:15 AM Edit Reply Quote anneliese Reged: 12/03/03 Posts: 2 Loc: Oregon Hi all - this is my first time posting, but I just wanted to warn everyone out there not to take the antibiotic Avelox. My dad's doctor put him on it for a bronchial infection and it caused him to have the worst IBS attack he's had in 20 years. He has been bedridden from the pain and passing blood for 3 days; apparently, "intestinal irritation" is a side effect of this drug. So those of us with IBS had better stear clear of it, because your doctor may not realize the harm it could do you! Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
