My IBD-D was brought on by large doses of antibiotics I took when I was six and was treated for pneumonia. My symptoms began shortly before my 7th bday, pain starting 1/2 a hour after I started eating, severe pain while passing a bm, splitting gas pains, and fainting due to the ripping stomach cramps.
Antibiotics-related beginnings to IBS have been largely documented, and in my case I am sure it is true. I've often wanted to post pictures of myself before and post pneumonia. You can really tell from the photos the damage that was inflicted. Just looking at the pics, it is painfully obvious I'd been through a major life-changing event. You can really tell around high school, when I'd begun to adapt and change my eating habits to manage my IBS...
