Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | can you stand a whiny post from me?

This time of year is so hard! I actually just fell asleep sitting on the toilet! I'm really worn out and having a lot of ibs mini-attacks and anxiety all the time. I've got way too much to do at work and very little feeling of pride for the work I'm doing. I'm putting in a lot of extra hours and each day feels like a marathon. I get home and say I can't go back the next day! Then I get up and have an equally hard day.

I'm finally leaving this teaching job this June. I still love teaching, but I need to do it part time. Its too much for me. Also I need to be in a school I believe in. I work in a very traditional christian school and I'm non-religious, and interested in very progressive education. Hmmm i had planned to post about my stomach and anxiety and here I am talking only about work - interesting!

I also dread the winter time - I get so paranoid in winter time that I'll get a stomach bug. Never mind the fact that I actually got one this summer. Its not at all rational but its a deeply rooted habit of thinking. Its an exhausting amount of worry actually. If I could drop it, I'd probably have twice the energy I have now.
I'm sooo tired tonight that I got convinced the dreaded bug was here. I actually have no real symptoms but exhaustion and normal ibs d. All it takes is something to trigger the anxiety and I lose it.

Thanks for listening. Also sorry to anyone who didn't like my last post of the news story about the woman farting on the plane! Lots of people read it and no one commented so I assume they didn't find it equally sad and funny the way I did. Oh well....
