i knew I was going to marry my husband when I was 18y.o. We dated off and on (easy to fight when you are 400 miles apart!)during my college years and then steady when I moved back home for a year and a half before he proposed! we married a year later when I was 24 and he was 27--it was a long time, but we both had a lot of growing up to do!! Everyone is different now- my standard is don't get married until you are convinced you will still love each other when you are 80 and everything is hanging down to the ground!!! Marriage is the hardest job you'll ever have, except for raising kids!!! Mary h
