When it's bad, it's bad. I can't eat - even SF goes right through me - I have a minimum of 3 to 4 attacks (mad dashes to the bathroom, cramping, explosive D, sweats, chillds, nausea, etc) after each time I would eat. My attacks could last 10 to 15 minutes or several hours. And this lasted for days and days on end. In Feb / March I was nearly hospitalized because I couldn't keep any food with me - I was down eating to English Muffins and saltines. I was still working, but I was told by my gp to stop going to the gym and the pool because there just wasn't enough energy in me left to give and it was almost hurting me to work out. I should have been off work for 6 to 8 weeks to recouperate, but the type of job I have is difficult to be away from and even when I am (like now because of foot surgery) I take home the laptop and work from home.
What are you doing to help your IBS? Diet? Hypno? Etc????
Best of luck!!
