My IBS got REALLY bad during my first pregnancy and then disappeared for seven months the day he was born. (Seven months is when I returned to work). IBS is still bad with #2. For our first, we told my family at six weeks because we were going to Puerto Rico and they would know something was up immediately when I refused a glass of wine. Told everyone else at 12 weeks. For #2, we told everyone around eight weeks, after we had an ultrasound. My very first pregnancy resulted in a miscarriage, and my husband was VERY cautious about telling people. I lost the baby in September and got pregnant with my son in October.
