For next Tuesday's surgery. I asked my family dr. about running tests for RA again, as the surgeon asked when I saw him in August.
My family dr. said, what kind of tests do you mean? (I was prepared!)
I said INR, ANA and possibly a C-Reactive Protein.
He said, I don't think you have RA or anything else wrong with you. I think Dr. H is being cautious.
I said, well, there has to be something to explain all of the surprise inflamation in my body.
Then he proceded to do my pre-op. He was just about to leave without ordering any of the bloodwork so I stopped him. He siad that he will look at my file to make sure he hasn't ordered any of these before and then if not, he will call me to pick up a lab slip. ARGHH!!!

I wish the surgeon could order the tests he wants. My family dr. is a dinosaur and thinks if you run 1 test you are fine. Except my feet are still swollen, I'm having surgery to remove a bursa that is no longer liquid but solid like cartalidge.

I sure feel for the rest of you out there who are going through all this testing without any results!!
