I know it isn't always easy to train dogs. If you feel the things you do are working for you and the dog seems happy then that's just fine. I think we all have different opinions on this and exactly what is ok and what isn't. So let's all just agree to disagree. As long as the dogs are ok that's all that matters.
And like I said before about crates, used in the right way they can be a great tool for training your dog. However there are people who use them in highly inappropriate and even cruel ways. That was a general remark I made and certainly not aimed at any particular person.
