Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | DIAGNOSIS! computr821...updates?

Hi all,

I went to see a colon surgeon on Tuesday. And he's pretty sure I have rectal prolapse. In a couple hours I am going to have a defecograph to confirm the diagnosis. If that is truly what I have I will need surgery. Very scary thought. But at the same time it is very exciting to possibly have an answer...something correctable. I know I have read about a couple other people that have this condition. I first heard about it from a post on here and I want to say thanks for whoever posted it. It may have changed my life. When I heard about it and looked it up I knew immediately that I probably had it. But without reading about it here I could have been suffering from it for a long time yet. Just wanted to put another post out about it in case there is anyone else who has it but doesn't know it. I believe that Computr821 was who first posted...and he's having surgery on Monday. Please keep me updated on how it goes. I'm super nervous about the test right now and about the results. My stomach is in knots. And I'm not looking forward to the prep in an hour. Wish me luck!
