Yes, GI doctors are famous for rushing their patients out of the office. I think my typical appointments with mine for UC are about 5 minutes unless I'm the one asking questions. Just bring a list of everything you want to ask and make sure they give you all the information you're after and be sure to book a follow up appointment with the secretary before you leave.
