about the surgery being postponed. It's not that I wanted to have surgery, it's just that I was looking for resolution to this foot problem. I feel like the doctor just POSTPONED it for a month! I think he will still have to correct the plantar fascitiis problem surgically, but hopefully, he won't have to correct the nerve problem too. He said that is difficult to correct, and sometimes surgery makes it worse.
So I'm glad he's exhausting every option and being extra cautious before doing surgery, but I'm just so ready to get on with my life! I feel like my life is on hold. If I was going to have surgery, now was a good time (when it's so HOT outside.) I don't want to be homebound in the fall when the weather is beautiful.
Oh well, we'll see what he says in 4 weeks!
Thanks for asking, Shell. How are your feet doing? Are you still having pain from the PF? I hope you can get it resolved soon. The longer it lingers, the harder it is to get rid of.
I'm glad he is trying everything as well. I've also heard that after a surgery for PF it can be worse....and that would just suck. Hang in there.....
As for me....I'm doing better and better every day.... taking ibiprophen (sp?) and doing the stretches and most important I think is icing 15-20 mins before bed!! Thanks for asking about me too.... I'll keep ya posted...I know I have to stay on top of it or it just gets worse.
