Michele, my friend! Thanks so much for caring about mee! I am slowly getting better-- no more bad sore throat, in fact it's pretty good until the benedryl is wearing off (then I know to take some more!  ). I still have the sweats and "sick" feeling, but no more fevers, yaay! 
Thanks so much for your offer of chicken soup! In fact, feel free to move across the street from me at any time! 
I'm staging a hostile coup to get my dignity back from the doctors at the free clinic today. I haven't bathed in oh, I'd say, 8 days, conservatively, and my mom is coming over to take me to the clinic to pick up the medicine they want to deny me. Seems on my chart it says I haven't seen the doc in 3 months, but what it doesn't say is that it's the doctor who didn't show up for his appointment on May 9th and April 11th.
So we're going to stage a little Parade of the Sickie, so he can experience what I'm going through right now. (My mom is so looking forward to this. She loves sticking it to The Man as much as I do. )
Actually, it's more like Stick It to the Receptionist, who could have called me both times the doc decided not to show up. Who, by the way, has never offered me any explanation in the way of why I had to wait crying in the waiting room while the doc dissappeared to parts unknown. Who also is the one denying me reupping the meds he prescribed (methocarbanol, amatriptyline, baclofen, donatal) because some chart says I was the no-show.
