I can't wait to see what you are having. He/she is very beautiful . I have to be honest, I am completely shocked they did an internal u/s especially at first with a full bladder. I have never had an internal u/s other than at 6 and 8 weeks and each time they sent me to the bathroom to empty my bladder before they will even do the internal. I also had issues with my placenta with my last pg and they didn't do an internal u/s, they could see it doing a normal one. As a matter of fact we weren't allowed to you know what from 20 weeks on, so I don't think they would have wanted to do an u/s like that. I also can't see why they would need to check if your cervix is closed. Your dr. would have been able to check that with an internal at your first appt. Maybe they had a reason for doing it though.
