Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Fell down the stairs this morning...

today on my way to work I fell down the freaking stairs in my apartment building. I think my shoe fell off and I went tumbling down right behind it. I lucked out and fell on my butt (right side) for the most part with my hand dragging hand down behind me against the carpet. I was lucky bc at least I didn't knock my teeth out or break any bones... but unlucky because I rug burned most of the skin off of my middle, ring and pinky fingers on my right knuckle. oh man those rug burns hurt and it was bleeding like crazy. I ended up running back upstairs bc I'm so not good with blood and feeling faint. I lied down on the couch, called my boss to tell her i'd be a few minutes late and went on my not so merry way to work. Luckily I work in a school and I had the school nurse check me out who was grossed out by my huge chunks of missing skin (you can basically see bone here!! ugh) and bandaged me up again.

Now i'm looking forward to recovery.. which will suck because there is NOTHING worse than cuts on your hands. They always get opened up and rehurt.. and these babies are pretty gross cuts. I couldn't go to the doctor or anything because they can't really stitch up your knuckles and basically there isn't much skin left there to reattach. i'm just hoping they heel quickly and without incident.

Im also hoping that I don't wake up sore as heck from the massive fall on my leg either but I have a feeling I might wake up with a big big bruise.

Anyways.. thats my clumsy story of the day. yiiiikes.
