What we call the "stomach flu" would be from a virus that acts differently than the flu virus. The Norwalk virus is one that was in the media a while ago, causes vomiting and D really bad. So getting a flu shot will not prevent the "stomach flu" unfortunately. The best way to prevent it is just to stay far far away from it, and wash your hands a lot.
