And I know that lack of time together can be hard on communication. my hubby works nights and I work days. he gets Tuesday/wednesday off and I get Saturday/Sunday off. He does get every other sunday off and I'm so grateful.
It took us a few years to get used to our schedule, esp. with a kid in the picture. Luckily, we're both super independent, so it works out OK. But it's very lonely sometimes, even with my little princess.
hang in there. You have made great headway, and it sounds like the arguments are just petty at this point.
As far as laundry goes, why don't you just combine it and do them together? The rule in our house is, if you need something done, do it yourself. Trevor does laundry, vaccuums, dishes etc, as much as I do, possibly even more. That's part of what makes our marriage work so well even though we don't "share" parenting duties per se. We're sort of both like single parents because he has kayleigh all day, I have her all night.
It's a tricky situation to get used to and I'm sure some of the tension is related to that. Like I said, it took us a good 1 1/2 years into kayleigh's life to get comfortable with how we run our house together.
Good luck, you're def. on the upswing.
