this past weekend. It went well,, I was SO glad we were finally able!! My mom cried and was super happy, and then "exhausted" from the good news. My husband's family was happy too, and offered advice, and his dad even hugged me which is unusual for him. I actually ended up switching doctors---I was seeing the father of the practice, but he had his gallbladder out so I saw his son. Well, his son was WAY more thorough, and my husband really liked him and talked for a long time with him, so when I made my appt for next month, we switched. The receptionist laughed and said "That happens all the time". He delivers most of the babies anyway.
Bad thing: I had gained 4 lbs since my 5 week appt (I'm now 10 weeks) and he said that was too much too soon. He didn't make a HUGE deal, but told me more than once I wasn't eating for 2. I chalk it up to having laid on the couch for 3 weeks straight, NO exercise because of no energy, and possible water retention/bloating. But it doesn't make me feel good that 90% of my pants no longer fit. (I actually tried them all on Friday). So those are packed away.
But I'm feeling pretty good, only get nausea here and there, and very little puking. I'm trying to make healthy food choices, and my husband and I are both exercising more regularly. we even went before church on Sunday!
So that's my update!
OH--and we pick up our puppy this weekend so expect pictures next week!
