So sorry you are having such a hard time. If it makes you feel any better you described my IBS, add a whole lot of bloating and gas and thats me! I take Mira-Lax, without it I would never have a BM. With it I go between what you described as constipation and diareha! It can only reccommend the usual, lots of water, fiber supplements, exercise and watch your diet. I have had IBS since I was 15, I'm 33 now. It comes and goes, but I have been in a real bad spell since about MAY!! I can be a terrible thing to live with but try not to let it take over your life. It sounds like they have done the appropriate tests,you could ask for a celiac test, they check something in your blood but its not real accurate. You could ask for a lactose test, a 3 hour test where you breath into a balloon and they measure the amount of lactose in your breath, I had it done, it came back negative but I still avoid dairy. Have they done an ultra-sound? You could try magnesium and some probiotics both can be baught at a health food store, I take both, not sure if they help or not but I don't think they are hurting anything. Your symptoms sound like classic IBS, but its important to rule out eveything else first!
