This is so embarrassing!
I went for my biweekly tegretol levels, etc. (it was one of those 6-tubes of blood deals @ the lab, a.k.a "vampire's")
I passed out. Just keeled right over & suddenly "blackness."
It was freezing outside. I kept my mittens on while the nurse poked me. After lots of prodding in the first arm without a squirt, she moved to the other arm. I got that belly warm feeling & then a hot flash of nausea...
Needless to say, I forget everything else after that. Let me tell you, that ICE cold water felt so good.
Weird, huh? That's only ever happened to me twice before & once was when I donated blood.
Needles! I just cannot stop staring at the eyes of those needles and thinking of sewing machines & knitting & cross stitch.
Have you passed out yet, Nelly?
It's so hard for them to get a juicy one on cold days.
I hope the shots perk you up. After about 6 weeks or so, I felt the difference in the B12. I'm not sure if this makes sense, but the best way to describe how I felt after a month or so of B12 shots was less "vulnerable" and more "cohesive" or "together." Seriously, I felt so "tender." And my head just wasn't on straight. B12 deficiency (macrocytic anemia) really makes you feel mentally warped or like something melted in the back seat of a car on a warm day. I hope it helps with your fibro.
I felt like a rag doll, today, though...one minute staring at the eye of a needle and the mittens on my hands and the next...
Kate.
