I sort of followed that description! Nana lives in the Whalley part of Surrey. You know, where all the gangs are. Poor sweet 88 year-old Welsh Nana,too. No Beverly Hillbilly with a gun, ha ha....
I digress.
I've only taken the ferry to van. isl- a few times though, but never been into Tsawwassen, per se. But sure do love that corner of my country. Ahhh,Vancouver island. That's where I want to retire-Sidney, BC. is heaven to me.
Anyhow, that is always sorta home to me, since Nana's been there all of my 30 years, and I grew up in 13 out of my 16 different homes (all with the same mother, differnt fathers, if you can call them that.) in my life. The last three homes I've lived in have been with DH, of course.
My sister is in Surrey as we speak, visiting.
And yes, i would SO hate the winds too! I can't ever get over how much freaking taller the trees are on the coast compared to whimpy Alberta. Honestly, at least twice as tall!  Of course, for you,
