Was it just yesterday I was posting about the incessant rains? Well, we got SEVERE winds last night. I was woken up at 6:00 a.m. by the sound of crashing on the roof. It was the top of a 70-foot tall Douglas Fir tree that broke off from the base of the tree; this morning we found 25 feet of it along the side of the house and a broken gutter where it hit the roof outside the bedroom window. We will have to rent a chainsaw to cut it up and have the gutter people come out to repair the gutter.
Our greenhouse is gone. The winds pulled it away from the house, even pulled out the bolts, and threw the greenhouse all over the pine grove; it's in a million pieces. The plants inside are all gone except for the one bamboo, which nothing can kill.
Now that the winds have finally died down, the skies opened up on us, and we're back to our usual downpour. The park next door is no longer grassy; it's a solid mass of water, and the ground around it is a waterfall, running into the creek that borders our property, and the creek has overflown, rising as we speak......
I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather. I will not complain about our weather..........
