Chin up Leigh! Sometimes it seems that we get EVERYTHING, doesn't it!
My Dad had a defective heart valve that he was born with - I don't know if this is the same thing. It finally stopped working a few years ago and he had it replaced. Quite major at the time (although he didn't go to the doctor for quite a while!...it's a long story!), but now he is totally fine. He lived life to the full before it finally failed as well, so don't think these things will rule your life.
