Boyfriend at witts end with pain!       01/25/06 04:32 AM Edit Reply Quote michelle_michael Reged: 01/25/06 Posts: 2 My boyfriend has been diagnosed with IBS just today. The outpatients specialist at the public hospital was very unhelpful and unsympathetic! She offered no help or suggestions. At present, he is taking morphine because the pain is so bad. Do any of you use heavy pain killers for IBS. He is afraid to go off them as he may loose his job and is at times suicidal because no one in the medical field believes he is in such pain that he should stay on it.
