OK - I totally understand! I am sorry - things must be quite different here - building codes do change per province/state and country - I should have remembered that!

I think your best bet would be lawyers. With the amount of time you have spent and the amount of stress it has caused you could have had this sealed up in court by now.

Sometimes you have a lawsuit where you aren't even there - the two lawyers just discuss what should or shouldn't have taken place.

I would really consider that for the fact that if you win - you can also get them to pay for your legal fees too. So it really won't cost you a penny.

It sounds like in this case you will have just cause in taken these guys to court.

Did you guys get references or anything before these guys started because I would be talking to those people that gave them a positive referall as well.
