Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | more building construction woes.....

Well.........
as most of you know by now my husband and I have been in the process of having a "shop building" constructed on our property. After 6 months in the works with delays, etc., etc. It was finally completed a couple weeks ago. Only problem now is we called for a final inspection....because the contractor wouldn't call for it....and a crane we had installed did not pass inspection. So now they are having to tear out the concrete pad for the crane and some of the floor and re-pour a new pad and re-install the crane according to manufacturer specifications. We brought this to the contractor's attention while they were in the process of installation, but they chose to do nothing. Now that they have some of the floor cut out we can see how the rebar was placed within the floor and it is also done incorrectly. So we are asking that the contractor deduct an amount from the final balance due and of course, his figure and our figure don't even come close. ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!!! And in the contractor's eyes...."we are just being nit-picky!"

So frustrating!!!!
