Books I'd recommend       01/06/06 03:47 AM Edit Reply Quote cailin Reged: 08/12/04 Posts: 3563 Loc: Dublin, Ireland I've done a ton of reading recently and thought I'd share the names of some books that I have really enjoyed to any other avid readers out there: 1. We need to talk about Kevin by Lionel Shriver Written from the point of view of a mother of a teenager who carries out a Columbine style killing- fabulous writing, a book to really make you think, not light hearted though so definitely won't cheer you up! 2. Small Island by Andrea Levy Great storytelling in this one, about a jamaican man and wife living in London after WW2, plots interweave very well. 3. The Kite Runner Finished this last night, about a man who grows up in Kabul and escapes to America with his father when the Taliban take over. A real pageturner.
