Re: Does anyone get any extra time off for Christmas?       12/19/05 05:16 AM Edit Reply Quote cailin Reged: 08/12/04 Posts: 3563 Loc: Dublin, Ireland Over here Monday and Tuesday are public holidays so no offices etc open and only places like petrol places and local convenience stores, hotels, bars etc. I'm working Friday and again Thursday 29th Pubs are not allowed to open on Christmas day at all, only hotels and they can only serve residents of the hotels. We also have "Bank" holidays and since I work for a bank we get Wednesday off too, and then the following Monday, 2nd January is another public holiday. I am working Thurs & Fri as really can't afford to take any more holidays off. Can't believe that you have to work on 26th Shelby, that's awful. -------------------- S.
