I was reading a post a while back where a user was trying to console another and she suggested there be a thread to post your most embarrassing IBS moments (trying to get a laugh:). I was just thinking about this past weekend and my IBS moment, laughed, and thought I would post it.
My family (wife, 2 yr old and 6 week old sons, and myself) went my mom's cabin for the weekend, 3 hours from our home. On the way back, we were an hour away from our house (.5 hours from my brother's) and I started having cramping (my usual IBS symptom). I told my wife which some how lead to some unpleasant bickering. We were coming up on my brother's street and I said I had to stop (the baby was fussing anyway). When we stopped at his house, I suddenly had a terrible cramp which led to some "audible gas". I went in the house. When I returned, my wife was nursing the baby and tensions were still high. We sat in silence as she finished nursing. From the back seat I hear my 2 year old son (who has a VERY large vocabulary) say, "Daddy? I hear your tooter-butt." My wife and I started laughing and immediately apologized to one another. Thank God for children:)
