That's so awesome that there are other people in the world like you that want to make a difference in an abused/mistreated animals' life. All of my animals are "rejects", my mom calls it. All of them were going to the pound or the street, until I took them in. I get it from my mom. She has always loved animals and I fell into her tracks......We grew up with about 8 cats, I don't know how many dogs....they have always been a part of our lives. I couldn't live without animals. If we had the money we would open a rescue. We really want to do something like that. Maybe one day......but not today. Too broke!! Your dog is a cutie! She looks soooooo sweet. She will open up eventually. I gave my parents a cat that I found outside of a restaurant and it took him 4 years to come around, but he finally did. He's sooo domesticated now. Turned him from wild to lazy!!!! LOL!! I just saw another puppy on the side of the road about a year ago and I came to a SCREECHING STOP in the middle of the road and tried to get him but he got super scared and took off running. He was soooo tiny.....I felt sooo bad for him. I pulled over and followed him into the woods but he never would come to me. I must have tried to get him for over an hour. At least I got him far away from the road. He would have gotten hit if I wouldn't have stopped. Poor puppy!!!! I wish I could have gotten him. Michelle -------------------- IBS-D.
