Sorry I haven't posted...things have been nuts with MIL in town and b-days, etc..
I need your expertise!
Hubby is still bike traveling alone and I'm home. MIL is staying at hubby's half-bro's house. BUT they wanted me to come for Thanksgiving. Well, I needed space...and of course, me being me...couldn't say that for fear or hurting someone else's feelings....and now I'm in a bind.
I was supposed to call MIL when I woke up from my nap...bu I didn't. I am still not feeling great (took 3 tbls laxative--MOM--cause I've been plugged up for weeks now...I know I didn't have to do it todat...but I had to something to help this prob (STILL not having good BM's!!! Stupid medications )
When I told MIL I've been by the loo all the day...she sTILL insisted I call later to try and get together if I'm feeling better AND she wanted to talk.
I know that's great and she's being super sweet (a bit invasive though) and I can't help it--I need some space! And I DO feel awkward not having hubby around while I'm with her PLUS i am AWFUL at setting boundaries (so whn she asked if my religion (she's Catholic and we're Jewish), permits BC--and if I'm on BC (which I suppose she didn't need to ask if she simply wanted to know the religious answer to the question...my am i an IDIOT!!!)--and I answered her! I know I'm just inept at telling people it's none of their business ) Anyway...I am just feeling soooo guilty for not getting back to her...angry at hubby for getting me into this situation in the 1st place, and at a LOSS!

P.S. I don't blame MIL. I blame myself for not setting boundaries. She is pretty cool in many MANY ways! I just wish I could set firm limits and boundaries and politely refuse to answer people's questions. She is prob just looking out for my hubby. Whatever the case...I AM working on this in therapy. But I won't becoem "an eloquent and savvy diplomat" overnight, y'know? Anyhow...can't wait to hear form you!!
