Eric had a walkthrough of our new house today with the inspector, realtor, etc. We are supposed to close Wednesday. Most likely NOT going to happen. The two steps down into the sunken family room are somehow not to code. How on EARTH was this not caught before now? I cannot tolerate incompetency. So the floor which is now already carpeted/floored has to be rebuilt. In 2 days? I doubt it. We are supposed to move in Saturday. Between Wed-Sat Eric adn is Dad were going to make the unfinished basement a liveable playroom and we were goign to have carpet laid down there. The whole plan is going to pot. Right now my main concern is that we can just move in Satruday - the basement will get done SOMETIME. But we HAVE to be out of this house on the 30th and if we don't do it Saturday we'll have no help (family all has to go home/back to work). Pray that I keep my head about me through all this! On top of all this I drove to and from Va yesterday, 6+ hours, my sister in law's mother died and I wanted to be there for the memorial, but had to get back home because Eric had to work today. Fought falling asleep the whole last hour of the drive (midnight) then Sarah woke me at 4 am. And I feel like I've caught a cold - feel puny/sicky/YUCK. So... not a great week here. Trying very hard to be thankful as there is ALWAYS much to be thankful for but man, it's tough right now!
