I do have diabetes       09/28/05 11:34 AM Edit Reply Quote BL Reged: 06/01/03 Posts: 3522 I cannot believe this. I sat in the doctor's office this morning and just sobbed. I have had such a bad year between the back and foot problems, IBS, vision problems (now explained!!!), and now this. They gave me a machine to prick my finger twice a day, and told me I have to get this under control with my diet. I freaked out when the nurse started saying for me to stay away from carbs. All I could think of was they were going to take my white bread, potatoes, and rice away----the soluble fiber I need for my tummy. I have spend the past 2 years getting my tummy problems under control ---and now they want me to eat more protein. They set me up to attend a 3-hour diabetes nutritional seminar Tuesday at the hospital. That will help since I have no idea what I should and should not be eating to keep my blood sugar under control. I just want to feel better. I'm so tired and irritable that I just want to crawl in bed---and I cannot quench my thirst! Print     Remind Me     Notify Moderator
