I am a big klutz, too. I trip over NOTHING. I can be barefoot on a flat clean surface and still go flying.
A few weeks ago someone brushed into me and threw me slightly off balance. I tried to stable myself on a small table in the hall. The table kept taveling down the hall with me still leaning on it doing some kind of sidways shuffle. The table finally caught the corner of the doorway and I went flying into my neighbors room. Luckily I broke my fall a little on the side of the bed, but it was still a "big bang" when I landed.
Maybe that is something else we can blame on IBS.
