I have actually had to use a squat style toilet, while I was in Turkey, visiting my bf Mac while he was there for a year abroad. We were on a bus between cities at some point, and the bus stops every so often for potty and stretch breaks. Most of the rest stops have some Western style and some squat style toilets. Well, one of them only have the squat style ones, and I neede to pee. It wasn't that bad, though if I'd needed to do more, I'm not sure how well it would have worked.
In the entire year he was there, Mac prides himself on never having to learn how to use one of the squat style ones, though I told him "You're a guy, it's a little easier for you!"
