The joys of babysitting       08/05/05 02:29 PM Edit Reply Quote Nelly Reged: 08/06/04 Posts: 4381 Loc: Within stray mortar fire of DC The power's gone out across the street! There's a big thunderstorm on the way and I'm about to head off to watch an 80 year-old who's my neighbor's mother-in-law. She's in full blown dementia from several strokes, and paralyzed from the waist down. I just ducked over there to meet her and say hello. They showed me where her diapers are kept. It's going to be one of those kind of nights. I really, REALLY hope the power won't go out. Her normal caregivers are going to be gone from 7pm til 1am. Kinda hate to think what I'm going to do if there's no TV. Yikes! How, HOW did I get into this? Just doing a favor for a neighbor. She was kinda stuck, and since I was around...
