And I'm so scared! I hardly have BMs now...so what will it be like without Zelnorm? And after reading the post saying I could be more constipated once I stop it than I was before even taking it...Yipes! I am so terrified about not taking this any more. Why did my doctor allow me to keep taking this med for almost a year if it is only suppose to be taken for 4-6 weeks, followed by another 4-6 weeks? Has he done me harm?
Has anyone else been on zelnorm for this extended length of time and then stopped it? What can I do to increase my chances of a BM without the Zelnorm? MOM or mineral oil for a short time? I know this is a stupid question, as all will suggest increasing IF...but that is hard to tolerate.
Oh, Lord, please wish me luck as I attempt this fearful drug withrawal. Pray that my body isn't worse off or harmed by this doctors prescription and lack of advice on how to take the medicine...as if it were candy! This is my body and a medicine...serious stuff!
