Good Morming Ladies, I just got in from my Re's appt. My FSH level (this tells us how "old" my eggs are and if I have a good "stock" of eggs) is 6.8. Very good, fertile, is consider anything under 8, so mine is good.
My ovaries are fine, no cysts, which is sometimes a side effect of the fertility drugs. We had a little talk and I told her I was still concerned about my progesterone level being 14, 10 is bare minimum, about 20 is optimal. I explained that I needed to be absolutely sure that I was doing everything possible to avoid another miscarriage. I told her after all I've been through I didn't think I could try again if I did have another miscarriage. I needed to be sure that if I had another miscarriage, she wouldn't say "next time we can try this" kinda thing as THIS IS next time! She said she understood and reasurred me that all my tests are normal and that we are doing everything. She said that with the vaginal suppositories, a lot of time the level is actually higher in the tissues than in the blood because it is absorbed through the mucus membranes of the vagina.
She did increase the femamra, doubled it actually, in hopes that I will produce more than one egg. More targets for the sperm to fertilize! I will start them tonight. I'm hoping the higher dose doesn't mean terrible side effects like I got from the clomid. I guess I'll have to wait and see.
I go in Aug 5 for a mid-cycle estrogen level and ultrasound to check follicle development. I will than do a hcg trigger injection to make the mature follies release. We talked a little about doing the iui. I think I'm going to wait one more month before trying it. I seem to ovulate over the weekend, usually Saturday night. They don't do iui on Sunday, so I would have it done Saturday morning and could do it again Monday morning but chances are Monday would be too late. Since we know I can get pregnant its not really going to increase my chances a lot so, I'll wait until next month to try that.
Ok, thats the update! Everyone please keep fingers crossed that I will get pregnant this month!
