Thyroid removed...anyone been there, done that?       07/26/05 07:02 PM Edit Reply Quote Snow for Sarala Reged: 03/12/03 Posts: 5430 Loc: West Coast, USA I have a HUGE nodule. And I just felt it and it has grown AGAIN! The endo. in Miami said if keeps growing he'll need to remove it! I'm terrified of surgery. I must make an appointment though, and soon, cause it prob has to come out! I realize this means I will need to find an endo. out here in AZ who I can trust to do the surgery as staying with my fam right now is a BAD idea! Yikes! MORE on my plate. I know I'm jumping to conclusions...but like I said...doc said if keeps growing it's gotta come out...and it feels like a GOLF BALL! So...if you have advice, words of comfort, or stories to tell (PLEASE include things to do in the event of sugery to help with pain), I would be sooo thankful! I WILL get it checked...but I know myself...I feel better when I'm prepared... I love you guys...thanks in advance!
