We were at the Brookfield Zoo, and that day it was raining all day! Actually, the best time to go to the zoo, because who cares if you get wet, and there were NO other people there. I had forgotten that it's where we had our first date many many years before. We were actually in the "Swamp" area, which has a bench and is very secluded. But because it was raining, there wasn't any wildlife outside, so I kept saying "Let's go!" and he kept saying "Wait a while". For one 1/2 second I considered he might be about to ask but as soon as I considered it, it was gone from my mind, cause I had been waiting FOREVER and had only recently accepted that I'd just have to wait more. Anyway, finally he got down on one knee and asked me. I think I said "Don't kid around with me!" It was a good day.
