Irritable Bowel Syndrome Message Boards | Okay, so what's the chances of this???

Yall might know my gastritis (so we think anyway) has flared up big time since my surgery and all, theory is too much stress/trauma on my body at once and this is a normal reaction to that. New GI Dr thinks it is quite possible I've developed an ulcer, get scoped Aug 5 (yippee). He prescribed me the strongest antacid on market, Zegerid. Well wouldn't you know I'd be the one RARE case to get awful side effects. Terrible bloating, pain, and D - along with awful headache/just sick feeling in general. I called and they said quit taking it immediately. I mean, I'm NEVER D and there is like nothing but water and undigested food (TMI, sorry) but this is SO odd. What are the chances, huh? So I get to live with this till it passes, then just think I'll skip the meds altogether till he looks in my tummy and confirms that's even what we're dealing with. I half wonder if it could be something from my surgery (vein thing) gone wrong, but none of the Dr's think so, so probably not.

GGGGEEEEEEZZZZ!!! Hate to have a pity party but sure makes you wonder sometimes what on EARTH the Lord is up to. If He wants to keep me depending on Him, He's doing the job!! whew!
