It's totally true !!! It's the most boring procedure there is to do and lengthy at that! Usually once the injections are completed and the procedure is under way, there's absolutely nothing for the patient to feel, not even water because of the rubber damn that's used. So patients get bored and a little too comfortable and fall asleep. I think if it weren't for having to pass instruments and sucking the water from the handpiece, the assistant would fall asleep as well...
